ActiveLights™ shine on in Borås

"We are always eager to try out new smart technology that will bring us energy savings and lower our environmental impact," says Jan-Åke Claesson, Manager, Technical Services, Borås, proudly. "We decided to try out ActiveLights™ on a stretch through the woods between two housing areas," he continues. "Everything has worked perfectly since the lights were installed in September 2010. The local residents are very positive about the lights. They provide just the right amount of light and safety level we hoped to achieve. We have only had to adjust one pole that had been kicked but that was easily fixed. We hope to install ActiveLights™ on further stretches in our pedestrian and bike path improvements in the near future. We see only advantages with ActiveLights™, for instance they are self-powered using solar cells and we have no maintenance costs whatsoever," concludes a very pleased Jan-Åke.
